This was our first server. We went with this configuration mainly due to cash flow.
We bought the CPU, Tape drive and 1 modem first .
Configuring took about 4 months to do. In this time we added the other modems and the Boca board. On October 14 1995 the system was installed in the Career Centre and the lines connected up.
After setting up the system, the only change that I'd make would be to have a PCI/ISA SCSI card rather than the On-Board one.
This system runs on the power of Linux. Version 1.2.1

We will be loading the Linux OS, upgrading the software as needed and then adding it to our system as our main server. This will allow us to update the Pod_Master server software and put it back into service as a mirror server in case of failure and also allow us to use it as a mail or news server as required.
