Volunteers are needed for all kinds of tasks on a variety of committees. 1. User Support & Training This committee is involved in all aspects of supporting FreeNet users. Persons are needed to respond to user queries, provide user training, create and maintain online help information, and create learning & support materials. If you are interested contact Mae Shearman ("mae") or Stewart Boddy ("ub998") 2. Special Interest Group (SIG) Administration Committee This committee is generally responsible for the content of the FreeNet. Volunteers are needed to: * find community organizations (SIGs) that wish to put their information on the FreeNet, * work with those organizations to create and maintain their information on the FreeNet, * provide training to SIG facilitators, * maintain the menus. Public Relations & Fundraising This committee is involved in areas such as media relations, promotional documentation, organizing public information meetings, coordinating booths at fairs and malls, producing an online newsletter, and raising funds for the FreeNet. Persons with any of the below attributes are needed: * are excited about the freenet, * have desktop publishing & design skills, * like to write, * like to talk to people, * have lots of energy and ideas to raise money.
