MANDATE

In November 1992, a group of volunteers met with the goal of creating a Free-net in the Sea to Sky corridor. On May 18, 1993, the Sea to Sky Free-Net Association was incorporated as a non-profit society (British Columbia Certificate of Incorporation S-30544).

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a non-profit community information computer system for the Sea to Sky corridor communities, which will enable members of the community to have access to information resources and electronic mail at no cost to end users.

MAJOR GOALS

  1. To install a computer system which will meet the needs of corridor ommunities.
  2. To establish communication lines and public terminals for access to the system throughout the corridor.
  3. To enlist local business and community agencies as information providers.
