Editing HTML documents with the Pico editor

You can create or change HTML documents stored on the BCCNA using the 'British Columbia Community Networks Association''s text editing program, called Pico. Editing with Pico is a good way to make changes on documents you have installed, and to create short new documents.

For longer documents, you may find it easier to write and edit the document on your own personal computer, either with a word processor or an HTML authoring tool, and then transfer the document to the 'British Columbia Community Networks Association'. You can then use Pico for minor revisions.

This guide covers the basics of using the Pico editor. If you have composed electronic mail messages on the 'British Columbia Community Networks Association', you will find Pico very similar to the editor in Pine, the program used to write and edit mail.
