History
The Falkland & District Community Learning Centre opened its doors in June 1998 as an Industry Canada CAP site. The centre had two internet connected computers, and a handful of volunteers.
In October 1998, the Learning Centre added a new computer and a part-time employee, and became the first satellite location of the Career Tech Achievement Centre, a partnership of Human Resources Development Canada and Okanagan University College providing access to technology for job seekers.
In August 2000, the Learning Centre received four new computers from the Okanagan Regional Library through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Learning Centre continues to rely on the support of its partners and volunteers.
